Frequently Asked Questions About Professional Window Cleaning

Interested in getting your windows professionally cleaned?

1.

What benefits should I expect from this service?

First and foremost, sparkling windows will increase your quality of life (think clean vs dirty sunglasses)!

Additionally, windows are very expensive. Replacing windows for many of our clients would cost over 100k! Routinely cleaning windows will extend their life by preventing the accumulation of hard water/grime. This makes selling your home down the road so much easier.  Not only will your windows look great, you will also be retaining your wealth in the home.  This service is a no-brainer for homeowners!

2.

What time of year is best for washing windows?

Spring is our busiest season! Summer is our second busiest season, followed by the Fall and winter slows down a little bit. If you plan to schedule two cleanings per year, we recommend Spring & Fall.

3.

How often should I have my windows cleaned professionally?

The answer to this is personal and depends on the individual. This really comes down to budget and preference. If possible, we recommend having windows cleaned twice per year. This will allow us to keep your windows in excellent shape and allow you to enjoy the beautiful views from your home.

4.

Why is getting your windows cleaned consistently so important?

Hard water accumulation. Many people have heard the term “hard water”- referring to water with a high mineral content. Hard water on windows is common depending on the state and is treatable. However if left untreated, this can cause long-term damage to the glass. This is why we strongly recommend a spring window cleaning in order to prevent this accumulation. Hard water from 2 months ago is much easier to treat than hard water from 2 years ago!

5.

Can you tell me about the purified water-fed system?

One of the tools we use to wash exterior windows is a purified water-fed system. This system uses a 3-step filter (Reverse osmosis, Carbon, and Deionized resin). The filter allows us to clean glass with 100% purified water, free of mineral content and toxins. The water is fed through a modular 30-foot pole with a boar's hair brush attachment. The result is streak-free glass, with no chemicals needed. The system also allows us to clean exterior window frames with ease- an often overlooked aspect of having clean windows.

6.

Is there anything I need to do before my scheduled window cleaning?

Typically no! However, if there are a lot of small or antique items in front of the windows we just ask those to be moved out of the way prior to our arrival.
